France and Germany: Clearing a path for European answers

Friday, 02.12.2022 | 2:30 – 3:30 pm CET | Online via Zoom

These are pivotal times – both for Franco-German relations and for Europe as a whole. We’re pleased to offer you an exclusive insight into the discussions of our Pariser Platz Dialogue, where high-level actors from France and Germany met to discuss ways to move forward on a broad range of topics within the European Union.

Our expert panelists will analyse and offer an overview on where we stand on crucial topics such as energy, security, economic prospects and the reform of European institutions. Drawing on the findings of high-level Chatham House sessions, they will show what they expect from both countries and what the next steps ahead to tackle Europe’s challenges are.

Join us for an online talk with our director Johannes Lindner, as well as journalists Mehreen Khan (The Times), Mathieu von Rohr (Der Spiegel) and Hélène Kohl (Independent journalist) on 2 December from 2:30-3:30pm, closing out the Pariser Platz Dialogue 2022.

Mehreen Khan is the Economics Editor at The Times, where she covers global economic policy and central banks. She was the Financial Times Brussels correspondent for five years until March this year, where she wrote about the political economy of the eurozone, climate policy, and the EU’s institutions.
Mathieu von Rohr is the International Editor at Der Spiegel and Head of the Foreign Affairs Department, where he has been writing since 2006.
Hélène Kohl is an independent journalist working with les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace, Le Journal du Dimanche and RTBF among others.

Johannes Lindner is the Co-Director of the Jacques Delors Centre, where he heads the think tank and works on economic and financial policy topics.
